Sue tells Ali she thinks their baby is due on Saturday. Dot calls Tom a pervert for allowing the pornography night to take place at the community hall. Lofty spends his day off sitting around the Square to get him out of the flat. Reg visits Den to proceed with his plans to sell the Vic. A homeless man's stench causes Mary and the customers to leave the launderette. Dot offers to save the day and heads to the shop to buy the man alcohol before removing him from the premises. Sue starts getting labour pains whilst on Turpin Road. Simon arranges to meet Donna for a meal, ditching Magda in the process. Barry and Ian search for Den to ask him if he will let them have a disco in the Vic. Frank returns and tells Pat they need to talk. Sue sits with Lofty in the Square gardens and they talk about pregnancy. Frank takes Pat out to a pub and tells her he wants them to start again. Pat agrees and Frank then suggests they buy the pub off Den. He tells her he will sell his business so they can afford it. Sue's labour pains get worse whilst she is with Lofty. He takes her to her flat and rushes to the café to get Guizin. Pauline runs to Sue's aid and helps get her ready for her birth. Lofty phones the ambulance, while Dot gets in touch with Ali, who is out in his cab. Lofty and Pauline work together to help Sue deliver her baby. The ambulance arrives but a broken down van slows it from getting to Sue. Ali returns and rushes to Sue. They have had a baby boy and are thrilled. Frank and Pat return to the Square and look at the Vic, ready to take over it. |
