Summary[]

Denise tries to protect her daughters from an unwelcome visitor. Sonia goes to Margaret's funeral with Jim for Rebecca's sake. Ian gets involved with the Walford Community Charitable Trust. Honey and Billy book their wedding. Denise phones in sick at work. Bradley takes a photo of Bert skiving. Honey suggests to Billy that they go to the World Cup.

  • First appearance of Owen Turner.
  • Last appearance of James Martin as Peter Beale. When he next appears on 31 August 2006, he is portrayed by Thomas Law.
  • This hour-long edition was broadcast at the regular time of 7.30pm and was a combination of two singular episodes that were scheduled to be broadcast on Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th June but weren't due to live coverage of Match of the Day.
  • When this episode was repeated on U&Drama in 2024, it was split into two half-hour episodes. The first half was shown on Wednesday 11th September and ended with a panicked Denise (who got the 'doof-doof') rushing into her flat after telling Libby's dad, Owen, to go away. The second half was shown on Thursday 12th September.
