Summary[]
Jean resolves to make things right, leaving Stacey devastated. Chrissie accepts her fate. Frank worries what Pat will say in court.

Threatened by local teenagers, Jean attempts suicide. Stacey realises she can't care for her mum alone, Jean is moved to a psychiatric ward. Laura's mum, Edwina, tells Pat she just wants the truth about her daughter's death. Moved, Pat tells the prosecution she was in shock after Laura's death, and can't be sure of the facts, and she can't give evidence. Chrissie tells Jake she's decided to plead guilty to murder, Jake begs her to go for manslaughter. He insists she can still have a family life. He admits he can't stay faithful to her, they share a last kiss. Frank is delighted that Janine's got off, but is disappointed when Janine leaves court without seeing him. Stacey breaks a family photo, takes it out of the frame and unfolds it to reveal a fourth member of the family, which turns out to be her brother Sean Slater. |
