Summary[]
Danny's behaviour gets out of hand as the residents get ready for some salsa action. Jake manages to spend some time alone with Chrissie.

Danny's still fuming that Johnny stole his idea for the salsa night. He drives Sam's chip van up to Scarlet's in order to cause trouble. He shouts abuse at Pauline and Sharon as they head in. Chrissie's about to lose her reason in a near-empty Vic. Chrissie's charmed when Jake breaks the monotony with some champagne and smooth talk. Ian demands that Sam move the van. Danny begins to cast aspersions on Ian's love life. He presses him up against the van and rips his salsa trousers. Sam drags Danny off him. Danny starts to relive the violence that he experienced at the hands of his father. Danny gets lairy when he's refused service at the bar. He rants to Alfie that Johnny's just like his father. He starts smashing glasses. Alfie tries to restrain him and gets knocked out. Jake urges Chrissie to open up. She struggles to find the words. On the verge of confessing everything, Chrissie's brought to her senses by Keith and Patrick's chatter. Keith offers to teach Patrick how to ride a bike at the allotments. They're pleased that they've unburdened their secrets. After closing, Chrissie and Jake kiss and head upstairs. The dance instructor reveals to Pauline that he's from Catford. He describes her as a woman of intuition and passion. She rejects his advances and leaves triumphantly. Danny shouts up at Johnny's window, thinking that he's inside. Frustrated, he sets light to Johnny's front room. As the fire takes hold, he babbles maniacally, then runs away. |
