Zoe was so disturbed by Dennis' reappearance that she's missed her flight. She wants to find out what his intentions are. Kat fears that Dennis still has a hold over Zoe. Dennis and Sharon are staying at Pauline's. She gives Dennis the cold shoulder and warns him that people haven't forgotten how he treated Zoe. Sam rushes to the Vic and asks Chrissie what they're supposed to tell Sharon about Den. Zoe soon joins them. Chrissie urges them to keep calm and let her do the talking. Kat apologises for making a move on Alfie the night before. She invites herself in for a chat. The atmosphere turns frosty when Alfie mentions that he still intends to go through with the divorce. Jake has to hold Danny back from confronting Dennis. Zoe follows Dennis and watches as he calls at Andy's old house. He's surprised when Pat opens the door. She realises that he doesn't know that Andy's dead. Pauline mentions that there was talk of Den having a secret lover. Sharon's suspicious - she's sure that he wouldn't walk away from the Vic. Dennis doesn't believe the official verdict that Andy killed himself. He's sure that he was murdered. Pat informs Dennis that Andy left him the bookies in his will. She suggests that he visits his new property. Charlie bursts into the Fowlers'. He's cross with Pauline for letting Dennis stay. He turns on Sharon, but Pauline cuts him short. She orders him to behave himself and leave them in peace. Zoe begs Dennis not to reveal the truth about her pregnancy. He promises that he has no intention of saying a word. Zoe's relieved and decides that the coast is clear for her to go to Ibiza. Chrissie and Sam watch the Slaters get involved in a public slanging match with Dennis and Sharon. Sam suggests that she work behind the bar. They should act like friends while Sharon's around. Sharon warns Zoe to keep her family off her back. She mentions that Dennis may have promised to keep quiet, but she's prepared to spill the beans if the Slaters carry on bothering her. Johnny's curious about Dennis and tries to find out what he's doing in Walford. Dennis refuses to even speak to him. Pat introduces them. Johnny expresses his sorrow about Andy's death. Sharon doesn't really believe Chrissie's story about Den's mysterious lover. Meanwhile, Kat drags Zoe to the Vic for another farewell drink. Alfie warns Dennis not to go in, but Dennis ignores him. Charlie screams blue murder at Dennis. He accuses him of abandoning his pregnant daughter. Calmly, Dennis addresses the pub. He explains that whatever happened between him and Zoe remains private. Johnny suggests that Dennis leave the pub. Dennis asks Johnny if he's going to make him. Tina begs Johnny not to start a fight. Charlie continues to rant at Dennis, before Kat takes a swing at him. Zoe looks on in horror as a scuffle breaks out. She lets out a gigantic scream, which stuns everyone into silence. She reveals that Dennis didn't cause her problems - Den did. |
