Kat joins Zoe on the market stall and competes and flirts with Alfie. Pauline is determined to spend time with Rebecca. Meanwhile, Jim considers Johnny's offer of buying their house.

Elsewhere, Garry and Minty try to persuade Chrissie to let them host a karaoke night at the Vic, hoping to use the opportunity to meet some women. Kat and Alfie flirt over the market stalls. Kat competes with him for sales. Michael informs Jim that Dot is too tense. He presents her with a cassette of soothing classical music to help her loosen up. Minty gives Garry dieting tips. Margaret admits to Pauline that she's having difficulties with Rebecca. Pauline puts Margaret's nose out of joint by doubting her friend's suitability to look after Rebecca. She criticises her for refusing to leave Rebecca with the Fowlers. Infuriated, Margaret orders her to leave. Johnny promises that Jim and Dot can continue to live in the house rent-free after he buys it. Jim accepts without consulting Dot. Jane raises her worries about Ian's involvement with Pauline's mad scheme. Ian admits to Pauline that he believes that she should stay away from Rebecca. Pauline ignores his advice and demands that he get her a solicitor. She's decided to fight for her, and no one is going to stop her. |
