Summary[]
Keith's good intentions soon turn into mayhem when he ends up making a mess of his chores. Unable to read Demi's list of instructions, he doesn't realise that Aleesha is teething and Demi is annoyed when she finds her in tears. He has also used up the only food they had left for the week. Meanwhile, Little Mo and Alfie arrange to meet for lunch.
Pauline's fed up of Martin and Sonia's stand-off. She assumes that it's over a trivial matter and orders them to sort it out. Jim advises Martin to cut Sonia some slack. Keith's keen to pull his weight. Rosie puts him charge of domestic chores for the day. Demi leaves him with a list of instructions for Aleesha's care. Martin takes Jim's advice and agrees to visit Chloe with Sonia. She's amazed but then Martin loses his nerve - he can't go through with something that he disagrees with. Martin admits that he's putting his needs first. He's certain that Sonia will want Chloe back if she keeps visiting her. He doesn't want to pick up the pieces when Sonia's heartbroken. Sonia's prepared to risk getting hurt even though she knows Martin's right. She admits that she feels guilty for giving up Chloe. Sonia wants to be there for her come what may. Keith blags a fry-up from Alfie in the café. Pat spots him stuffing himself and berates him for letting Rosie do all the work. He's defensive and assures Pat that he can look after his own. Sonia promises Martin that things are different now. Everything's above board and Chloe's nan is expecting her. She appeals to him to meet their daughter. Martin agrees to join her. Garry and Minty are excited about moving into their new flat. They make plans for the bachelor pad. Garry feels bad about leaving the Slater house, but Charlie's pleased for him. Johnny pumps Pauline for information about Stacey. She reckons that Stacey leaves a trail of misery behind her. Johnny reveals that he had his doubts about her already. Stacey rejects Charlie's plans for her future. He suggests that she could go to college and better herself. Stacey throws a tantrum, claiming that no-one cares about her views. Little Mo invites Alfie round for lunch. She pulls out all the stops to make him a special treat, but pretends it's no trouble. She's irritated when Mo, Charlie and Garry gate-crash the meal. Stacey swallows her pride and calls for Ruby. Johnny answers the door and claims that she's not in. He warns Stacey that he doesn't want her anywhere near his daughter. Mickey's horrified when he notices Juley shaking hands with Daryl in the market. He reveals to Gus that Daryl's the thug who mugged him. Little Mo apologises to Alfie for the interruptions over lunch. Alfie takes the opportunity to invite her out to eat the next day. Little Mo's chuffed that he's keen. Keith makes a pig's ear of the chores. Aleesha bawls all day as he can't read Demi's instructions. Rosie returns and is annoyed that he's burnt the dinner. She orders Keith to watch telly while she sorts it out. Sonia admits to Martin that Chloe's nan doesn't know that they're her biological parents. Martin explodes at her deceit. Sonia pleads with him to join her, but he refuses to give in. |
