Summary[]
In the Queen Vic, Jake and Danny notice some animosity between Andy and Alfie and wonder what has happened between them in the past. Den is continuing to persuade Zoe to sleep with him, so she avoids him. Den also has to deal with Chrissie constantly reminding him about having a baby and renewing their marriage vows. Dot and Pauline are still speculating about the red knickers found in Patrick's bag and Dot starts checking for sizes on every woman she sees. Meanwhile, Jane catches Lucy out of school with Stacey.
Little Mo's delighted when Billy offers to join her and Freddie at a swimming class. He wants to kit out Freddie for his christening as well. Danny promises Jake that he's burnt all of the fake money. He urges his brother to lighten up. Danny notices Zoe giving Jake the eye. Alfie warns Jake not to touch her. Den mocks Zoe for failing to seduce Dennis again. He reiterates his offer. She's disgusted by him and refuses to sleep with him. He reminds her that the clock's ticking and he may be her only option. Billy finds Little Mo's letter from Graham's mum. He reads it and is unnerved. He excuses himself from going swimming with Freddie. Little Mo's annoyed that he's shunning the family outing. Patrick's despondent, having heard nothing from Paul. Yolande's annoyed that he's neglected the shop but realises that he's troubled. Jim takes him to the bookies for a flutter. Andy riles Danny by insisting that he cleans the bookies' floor. At the Vic, Chrissie orders Den to spend the day with her. Dennis is happy to run the pub. He doesn't care that it'll keep him from Zoe. Encouraged by Stacey, Lucy tries to get Sam to give her some money from the chip shop till. Sam sees through her lie and refuses to hand over any cash but gives her some chips for free. Lucy makes a cruel retort and is praised by Stacey. Den sickens Zoe with further suggestions of sex. He warns her that other men would blab to Dennis but he won't. Later, Zoe chats to Alfie about Jake. She's interested to hear that he keeps things quiet. Alfie catches Billy boozing and questions why he's not at the swimming pool. Billy rants about Graham's mum contacting Little Mo. He suspects that Alfie knew already. Danny enlists Jim and Patrick to place bets for him in Andy's bookies. He hands over his wad of notes and tells them to keep it quiet. He loses nearly two grand but he can't stop smirking. Billy hopes that the christening will make him feel like Freddie's dad. Alfie explains to Little Mo that Billy read the letter. She's upset that Billy's rejecting Freddie again. Dot eyes up suspects, determined to find the owner of the red knickers. Yolande shouts at Jim for hijacking Patrick. Jim bluffs to Dot that Patrick used him as an alibi. Her suspicions increase. A sheepish Zoe promises Dennis that she'll stay at home to avoid misbehaving. She apologises for doing the wrong thing. Meanwhile, Danny turns his charms on Sam. Little Mo wants to contact Mrs Foster but Billy won't have it. He won't let Graham's mum come between them. He orders Little Mo to destroy the letter. She makes Billy do it but retrieves the pieces when he's gone. Zoe makes a play for Jake. She offers him a 'no questions asked' night together. He refuses to go with someone's pregnant girlfriend. She chases after him and snogs him. Dennis spots them kissing and thumps Jake. He threatens to leave Zoe. Den breaks them up and orders Zoe to go home. He shakes his head despairingly at the forlorn girl. |
