Summary[]
Martin spends his day on edge, concerned that Sonia knows the truth. He desperately tries to work out where his wife is but when Sonia returns home, she's perturbed as to why Martin feels the need to check up on her. She informs a relieved Martin that Sarah has decided to leave - her affair with a married man apparently over. However, just when Martin begins to relax, events take another turn for the worse. Sharon uses Vicki's absence as a tool to make digs at Dennis, telling him that he has driven her away. Dennis knows that there is more to her ill-feeling and throws himself into his relationship with Zoe. He's on the verge of reciprocating Zoe's strong feelings for him when something stops him literally in his tracks. Alfie decides that he knows just what will repair his relationship with his wife. Andy informs Paul that he owes him a favour.

Juley and Mickey struggle to flog their jewellery. They decide that they need someone hip to be seen wearing it. They rate people on looks, style and 'cultural influence'. Zoe, Kat and Alfie score highly. Martin's convinced that there's something wrong when he can't contact Sonia. Paul grovels to Andy. He's sincerely sorry for messing up. Andy enjoys having power over him. He's already decided how Paul can repay him. Paul's uneasy when Andy points at Dennis. Zoe becomes suspicious about Alfie's illness. She charges upstairs and refuses to move until Alfie reveals the truth. When Alfie complains that Kat sees sex as a cure-all, Zoe slaps him. Sonia bursts into the Fowler house. She's furious with Martin for keeping tabs on her. She can't work out what he's so worried about and demands to know what's been going on. Martin conceals his relief when Sonia mentions that Sarah's moving up north. Paul asks Dennis if there's any work at the club. Dennis wonders why Paul's so desperate. Paul admits that he needs to pay back a debt. Dennis goes soft and offers him a security job. Paul reports back to Andy. His boss is chuffed that he's found a job in the club. He instructs Paul to play things straight and not tolerate any deals - then they'll get to work. Dennis is touched when Zoe declares that she loves him. However, his romantic notions are short-lived. He's gutted when he runs into Sharon's latest conquest on the landing! Sonia finds Sarah on the doorstep. Her place is flooded and she needs a place to stay. Martin's horrified. |
