Summary[]
Paul fools Patrick and Yolande into believing that his criminal record won't affect their fostering plans. George confides in Juley that he did attack someone in the Mini Mart and, although shocked, Juley decides to help him escape. However, when George violently confronts Gus, Juley realises that he must take action. A fuming Ian has words for Derek after his children reveal that they were offered drugs at the community centre. Dot realises that she may not have enough time left to go and visit Robbie in India but, unable to tell Jim the real reason, she instead creates India for him at home.

Gus suspects that George attacked the woman in the Minute Mart. Juley argues that there's no proof and urges Gus to drop the subject. Later, George admits to Juley that he carried out the robbery. Kate helps Ian move into 55 Victoria Road. George asks for Juley's help in acquiring a car. He needs to get out of London as quickly as possible. Juley goes out to nick a motor but he doesn't have any luck. Patrick and Yolande go on a fostering course. Gus is appalled that George assaulted a woman. He tries to call the police. George knocks the phone from his hands and stamps on it. He thumps Gus and sneers at him for being soft. Jim tries to convince Dot that a trip to India would be a great adventure for both of them. She puts up objections at every turn. Ian overhears Lucy talking about spliffs. She explains that some boys were smoking pot in the gym and they offered her some. Ian's furious and heads off to see Derek. He wants to know why he wasn't informed. Juley returns to the flat with two police officers. George points his finger at Gus and Juley and says that their days are numbered. Gus is proud of his brother for doing the right thing. Ian mocks Jane and Kate's attempts to lug a mattress up his stairs. He proves even more incapable of shifting it. He tumbles onto the mattress and Jane falls next to him. Kate notes their flirtatious behaviour with interest. Ian accuses Paul of allowing the boys from his basketball team to offer his kids drugs. Paul claims that it's a lot of fuss about nothing, but Ian isn't having it. He threatens to call the social services. Patrick's alarmed. |
