Summary[]
Stakes are raised when Den invites Andy to a poker game. Meanwhile, Martin's got a nasty surprise for Pauline. Dennis helps Zoe move into the Watts' house. Dot receives her test results but refuses to talk about them.

Den gets increasingly furious about the continual phone messages that he's taking for Chrissie. Feeling as if he's being taunted, things get worse when Dennis moves Zoe in. To keep himself occupied and to reassert his bachelor status, Den arranges a boy's card game. However, Den is left disappointed when Dennis and Andy both leave to see their women and he is left alone. Sonia is struggling to keep her patience at Pauline's and is desperate for her and Martin to get a place of their own. She pressures Martin to look for a new flat together but Martin is reluctant as he doesn't want to upset Pauline. Things are taken out of his hands, however, when Pauline finds details that Sonia has collected about flat lettings. Dot is terrified about her forthcoming treatment. However, she continues to keep her worries to herself. Paul bonds with the basketball team as they attempt to raise cash for new kits. He holds a pool competition that is a real hit and he starts to revel in his success. Minty and Garry decide to join the poker game. The pool tournament goes ahead at the Vic and Mo and Jim find themselves in the final, which Mo wins. In the poker game, Den bets the keys to his house and Andy places the keys to the bookies on the table. Den bets Angie's Den and challenges Andy to bet the Vic on the next hand. Den is stunned when Andy wins as the house and club weren't his to gamble in the first place! |
