Summary[]
Den agrees to meet Kate at Angie's Den where he receives a tirade of abuse. However, the situation reverses and Kate is left shocked when Den angrily tells her the true nature of their affair. Just as things look like they couldn't get any worse, Den hears Chrissie coming into the Club. Ian has no option but to come clean when Jane catches him out of his wheelchair. He reveals that he got carried away with the deception in an attempt to get closer to Kate. Jane is disheartened and is forced to bury her own feelings for Ian.
Ian admits to Jane that he can walk and that he was pretending he couldn't because it brought him closer to Kate - he promises he'll tell her how he feels. Kate, meanwhile, is shocked to learn that Den and Chrissie sold their flat. She confronts Den, who tells her that she knew what was going on from the start, and that if she tells Chrissie he has the flat money, everyone will talk about her. Interrupted by Chrissie, they hide, then kiss - but Kate later leaves, saying she deserves better. She's about to tell Chrissie, but can't go through with it. Instead, she reunites with Den, who returns her necklace. Chrissie, meanwhile, talks Vicki into studying fashion properly. Pat returns to the Vic wearing her new coat and tells Den that she's bounced back, just like him, then buys everyone a drink. |
