Summary

Laura's pride takes another battering. The pressure is on for the Watts family as they prepare for the club's reopening. Meanwhile, Spencer thinks he has a date with Zoe and Sam is finding things awkward with Minty.

Den leaves his family to sort the club opening out while he goes for lunch with a mysterious date.

Pat lifts Laura's spirits by finding her work at the Minute Mart. However, Janine is reluctant to see Laura succeed and, by the end of the day, vicious rumours leave Laura out of work again. Desperate, and at her lowest, Laura attacks Janine in the street but comes off worst. Janine gloats as Laura is left crying in the gutter.

Dennis finds that the sprinkler system doesn't work due to a burst water main on the Square. He pays the workmen to work through their lunch hour to fix it, but the club fails its fire inspection because the bar is in the wrong place.

Mr Hendry offers Laura a job at the Minute Mart, but Janine informs him that Laura is violent, so he offers the job to Charlie instead. Janine then drives past Laura through a puddle, drenching her. Laura demands money to clean her coat, they fight, and Laura is left lying in a puddle, humiliated.

Sam makes Minty boss at the Arches.
