Summary[]

Sam makes a move to get her man. Dot comes to a decision. One by one, Alfie is turned down by all the new barmaids.

Ricky's in a foul mood and admits to Sam that he's been dumped by his mystery girlfriend. Sam's secretly pleased.

Natalie's also having a rough time, and Barry suggests they spend a special day out together.

Anthony removes Jim's bandages and prescribes him eye drops. Dot warns Jim not to go anywhere near the pub. Anthony has an interview at Walford General's A&E department. Patrick and Paul aren't very supportive.

Sam doesn't name Ricky, but confides in Zoe that there's someone she cares about deeply. Zoe urges Sam to go after him. Sam invents an illness and phones Sharon to announce she can't come to work.

The new road sweeper, Ben, admits that he's only doing the job for some easy cash so he can go on holiday to Ibiza. He upsets Derek and Mo by denigrating stall holders and makes himself unpopular by flirting with Sam.

Sam seduces Ricky over dinner. He's vulnerable as he thinks Natalie's dumped him.
