Sharon tells Phil about her row with Tom, and Phil tells her how his dad used to hit him.

Sharon declares to Phil that it's all over with Tom. Phil tells Sharon about his father. Phil agrees to buy Sharon's share in the Vic. Sharon kisses Phil tenderly and calls him the nicest man in the world. He watches her walk back to Tom's. He takes a note from his pocket that he wrote as a boy and sets fire to it. It's time for him to move on. |
