Lisa's excitement is brought to an abrupt halt when Mark blurts out that he's not going. Meanwhile, Beppe's still trying to secure money for Steve. The E20 party's underway. Sam hassles Steve about flirting with Melanie, but Steve assures her that he's in love with her. They arrange to meet later. Steve proposes a toast to his wife, but Melanie's in the back room trying to calm down a frantic Lisa. Melanie suggests they change the flight times for Mark's sake. Steve won't agree to changing the flight. He has to confess the truth - he was involved in an armed robbery, and now Graeme and his heavies are closing in on him. Melanie's aghast at Steve's news about the heist. She argues with him to pay them off but it's too late. They're planning to kill him! Melanie can't believe that Steve's lied again. She accuses him of leaving only to get revenge on Phil and escape the heavies. Steve's defence is that she lies to herself more than others, and that's worse. They're two of the same kind. Melanie softens and they make up. Billy helps Beppe with the last £2,000 that he needs to buy the E20. Meanwhile, Steve forces Lisa and Mark to say their final goodbye. While Mark runs off in tears, Lisa's hysterical. So Steve takes Louise in his car, while Melanie takes Lisa in a taxi to try and calm her down. Mark's drunk and bitter. He wastes no time revealing to Phil that Louise is about to disappear forever. Phil runs out of the Vic. Steve meets up with the boys to collect the money. Meanwhile, Phil manages to track down Melanie. She's not prepared for a Mitchell showdown. Phil attacks Melanie, smashing her across the face. Melanie lies, saying that Louise and Lisa are in the E20. Phil steals her mobile phone. On the run from Phil, Steve's car crashes. Steve's trapped and calls out for help, but just as Phil walks over the car blows up. |
