Episode 2151 (17 August 2001)

Summary[]

Sparks fly when Melanie realises that Steve's played her for a fool and there's tension at the Vic between Peggy, Phil and Sharon. Billy's forced to see Little Mo back with Trevor and Harry won't be hurried into having sex.

Melanie backs up Steve's story and the officers leave. Melanie hides the money from Steve and confronts him about what Dan has told her. She accuses Steve of framing Dan, shooting Phil and buying the Vic. Only when Melanie reveals she knows about his fling with Karen does Steve start to own up about some of the things he's done. Melanie doesn't know what to believe anymore, and so Steve leaves to get proof.

Meanwhile, the Slaters celebrate Lynne's birthday in the Vic and then move on to the E20.

Peggy gets very drunk and Sharon bars her from the Vic.

After talking to Mark and Lisa, Melanie heads to the E20 to question Billy. Billy lets slip that Steve signed the E20 club over as collateral. Billy shows her the papers that reveal Steve still owns the club and not Melanie.
