Summary[]
Jamie reveals the results of Dan's threats and Sonia puts their relationship at risk again. Jim lands himself in trouble trying to prove that Dot's new alarm is a waste of time.
Jamie is nursing some nasty bruises and is clearly terrified as he answers the phone at Phil's, and it's Sonia, who asks what's wrong. She sulks when he says he can't come over. At home, Robbie says Jamie's probably sick of her nagging him. Kerry has sent Robbie's engagement ring back. Zoe has to look after a friend's dog, which is huge. Mo complains and tells her to get rid of it. Robbie asks Mo for the money back for the ring, and she suggests he do it himself - sell it. Zoe manages to get Barry to look after the dog because he seems good with it. Robbie takes the ring to a pawnbroker, who gets very suspicious and says the ring is stolen, and Robbie runs away and tells Zoe, who asks him to keep it quiet and not grass up Mo. Jim asks her to borrow the dog as security for Dot alone in her home, as he doesn't believe the burglar alarm that she got from the church would work. Garry visits Jamie, who is hiding at home and refusing to leave the house, to get the keys for the Arches, and Jamie says he's busy and hands Garry the keys through the letterbox! Dan is in the Arches when Garry arrives. Garry asks if Phil and Jamie are in trouble, and Dan asks if they are pals of his. Garry says hastily, looking at the size of Dan, that he doesn't like them! He phones Jamie who says there's no problem. Dan sees Billy and mentions "Phil's accident". Dan bangs on Jamie's door and Jamie trembles while Dan says he'll catch him later. Jamie phones Phil but Phil is asleep in hospital so he says forget it. Peggy asks after Terry's father - who is getting better. Sonia makes Jamie lunch and goes to the Arches, but he's not there and Garry isn't very helpful - but eats the sandwiches. Lisa asks after Jamie and Garry says there is a nasty geezer hanging around the Arches asking after him, so he may be in trouble. She goes to the house and he lets her in eventually. He says it could be Dan who shot Phil and there is a firm behind Dan. Lisa says he can't take on all Phil's enemies. Lisa comments about Sonia and Jamie says she mustn't know - Dan ruined her life once, he doesn't want to tell her he's back. Kat visits Anthony to make up with him. They kiss and someone in the B&B sees them so Anthony says they shouldn't do it there. She accuses him of being ashamed of her, and walks out. Barry has job interviews but fails to get a job. Sonia visits and Jamie is in a really bad mood. She is horrified at his bruises and he makes up a story that doesn't add up about being beaten up by four blokes. She points out that he's clearly lying and he's messing her around. He says he's trying to protect her. She says she is going to tell the police if he won't. He tells her not to, in no uncertain terms, and says if she does tell the police, they are finished. |

ROBBIE JACKSON: (to Barry) Where are you going?
BARRY EVANS: (sighs) If you must know, I have an interview at the health club.
ROBBIE JACKSON: (surprised) You have?
BARRY EVANS: They're interested in my people management skills, Robbie. Not how I look in a tracksuit.
KAT SLATER: Is that it?
GARRY HOBBS: Well a smile wouldn't go amiss.
(Kat puts on a fake smile.)
GARRY HOBBS: Blimey, no wonder the doctor's given her the run around.
CHARLIE SLATER: Garry.
KAT SLATER: Do you want to come round here and say that?
GARRY HOBBS: Ooh, temper, temper.
LYNNE SLATER: Oh, don't keep winding her up, Garry.
