Summary[]
It's Kat's first day at the Vic as Melanie's hen night is underway and Jim does a strip tease! After a tense stag night ruined by an unwelcome guest, Steve hears some news which threatens to change everything. Steve teases Billy that his mobile never rings. Billy rings himself from the office phone but Steve rumbles him and thinks he is very sad. Dan threatens Billy in E20.

In the café, Jamie gives Mark Lisa's coat and Melanie overhears that Lisa has had another run-in with Phil. Melanie suggests that she take Lisa's coat back to her and Mark, reluctantly, agrees. Lisa's very upset, saying she thinks Phil has gone crazy. Melanie feels so guilty that she can hardly look Lisa in the eye. They both cry and Melanie says how much she's missed her. Ian and Mark discuss what women see in Phil. Mark suggests he's powerful, but Ian says he's just a bully. Garry offers Beppe and Steve the benefit of his wisdom on women. He offers Phil's infidelity as an example of how fickle men are. They tease him that Lynne could be Phil's mystery women. Steve says the man's always the last to know. Phil's still snarling at Melanie in the Vic, threatening to go to Steve's stag night. Melanie asks him just when he turned into his brother. Just as she's telling him to stop threatening to reveal the truth to Steve, in walks Kat for her first day. Billy's booking a stripper for Steve's stag night - a police woman. Steve comes in and goes into the safe, showing a gun in there!. Steve teases Billy about the fact his mobile never rings! Billy's so upset that he rings himself from the office phone! Unfortunately, Steve rumbles him and tells him he's very sad. In the Vic, Mel's finding the combination of Kat and Phil very stressful. Steve tells Melanie what Garry said about Phil's other woman. She looks taken aback but refuses to tell Steve if she knows her identity. Steve looks worried and asks Garry again. Dan walks into the office at E20 just as Billy's sorting out the money in the safe. He threatens Billy, who pulls Steve's gun on him. Dan's not impressed and takes the gun off him. Just as he's asking after Steve, in he walks. Steve mocks Dan, saying he looks like the number one gangster. Steve warns him to stay away from him and Melanie. Dan says his quarrel is with Phil not him. He sarcastically offers him luck with Melanie and Steve asks him to leave. Later in the Vic, Kat hands out free drinks to her family. When Steve asks her about it, Kat becomes defensive and says he ought to be worried about Melanie and Phil's secret. Steve is rattled but lets it lie and leaves with Beppe for his stag night. Phil's at the stag night - drunk. In the Vic, Mel's hen night is getting going - a drunk Jim is doing a striptease! Steve is less amused at his stripper and makes her stop the routine. Steve calls Melanie and asks her to come over, at the same time he invites Phil into the office for a drink. He asks Billy to call him out of the office when he rings him on his mobile. Steve asks Phil about Melanie, but for once Phil is being discreet. As Phil and Steve toast 'Happy Marriages', Melanie comes in. Billy calls Steve out, but he leaves his mobile so he can hear what's said. Phil asks Melanie just to admit that she enjoyed their time together and then he'll never mention it again. Melanie says she did. Phil says that from now on it'll be their secret. Steve hears everything on his mobile! |
