As Natalie leaves the café, Barry gives her some money and tells her to go shopping. When she leaves, he tells Beppe that he wants him to do a special "drop". He also tells him not to tell anyone. While the Slaters make fun of Kat and her new "boyfriend", Robbie, Janine, Jamie and Sonia plan a big night out clubbing. Janine makes a joke about Martin and the baby. In the café, Mo turns up and tells Audrey about Kat seeing Anthony, Audrey is horrified. Barry phones Roy and arranges to meet him in the Vic. Roy is suspicious as to why Barry wants to see him - Barry's desperate to keep him out of the way. Barry tells him that he has a business idea and wants to discuss it further. Roy agrees but Barry insists on getting some food first! Roy arrives at the Vic to find that Barry has not turned up. He talks to Melanie about love and marriage and says "what's the point?" Melanie starts to worry about her relationship with Steve. Anthony admits to his mother that he is seeing Kat. She is disapproving and tells him that he should meet a decent girl. He insists that it's his life and he can do what he wants. Beppe turns up to collect Pat, as she is about to leave Natalie spots her and wants to know what is going on. Natalie finds out that Pat is going to emigrate to New Zealand. She begs her to stay, saying that Roy loves her. Pat says that she has made up her mind. She gets into the cab and leaves. Natalie turns up at the Vic and has a go at Barry about Pat. Barry says that he is doing the right thing and warns Natalie not to tell his father. Instead she tells Roy and he runs out of the Vic after Pat, followed by Natalie and then Barry. Kat turns up at the surgery and apologises to Anthony about the previous night. He is annoyed and angry that Mo told Audrey about their relationship. He tells Kat they should try and keep their relationship away from other people and out of the "public". She agrees and then they kiss. Roy, Barry and Natalie turn up at the portacabin. Roy can't drive as he's been in the pub and tries to find out where Beppe is, but Mick doesn't know. Barry is being extremely unhelpful, but ultimately agrees to drive his father to the airport. They have difficulty in leaving Walford as Phil is blocking the road with Jamie's car. Roy contacts Mick via the radio and asks him to find Beppe's mobile number. Barry makes things worse by claiming his battery's dead. Whilst driving to the airport, Roy manages to talk to Pat via Mick through the car radio. Pat tells Roy that it's over, but he pleads with her to rethink. Natalie and Mick both try to talk to Pat but she refuses to communicate with Roy, and tells Beppe to move on. While Barry's mobile starts going off in his car, Beppe and Pat talk about love, commitment, Sandra, Frank and Roy. Beppe tells her that Roy loves her and that she doesn't need to leave Walford. As the traffic gets worse on the motorway, both cars end up being next to each other. Roy speaks to her through the car radio, pleading with her to come home. He runs to the car and tells her that he needs her, and that he will forgive and forget the past. He manages to get her out of the car. Roy asks Pat if they have a future together. They both hug and Roy says, "You better cancel that flight". They both smile affectionately at each other, oblivious to the traffic moving around them. |
