Summary[]

Phil is on the alert after Lisa goes missing. Meanwhile, frustrated, Nick makes a decision about his future.

Melanie can't really concentrate on anything because she's worried about Lisa. When she asks Jamie if he's seen her, he thinks she's still in bed. He senses something is up though, and asks Phil what's going on. Phil admits that Lisa did not come home last night.

Audrey drops in at the surgery. She mentions that his Auntie Millie has let her down for a Valentine's Day concert. She also mentions that he didn't come home last night. He pretends he was with a patient, and agrees to go to the concert with her.

Jamie visits Peggy at the Vic, and tells her that Lisa's gone missing. Peggy is not too worried, but says she'll go and find Phil. When she finds him in the café, he denies having a row with Lisa, and says he just went out with a mate.

Tension is brewing over at Evans & Son. Barry hasn't done the figures, and Roy is getting increasingly frustrated with him. Barry is convinced he has found a good new mechanic for the firm. Roy can't share his confidence.

Terry gets a call. His father has had a heart attack, and is very poorly. He refuses to go and see him. He thinks work should come first, and clearly there is no love lost between him and his father. Janine can't understand his behaviour.

Phil surprises Melanie at the Vic. He tells her Lisa didn't come home, and is clearly convinced that Melanie has something to do with it. He insinuates that if he finds out that she's hiding anything, he'll make sure Steve finds out about Christmas Day.

Kat sneaks into the surgery. Doctor Trueman agrees to make a date with her that night. Later in the Vic, she swipes his surgery keys, and suggests they sneak over there. He feels a hotel would be more appropriate.

Jamie tries to talk to Phil about what's going on. Phil admits that sometimes he gets things wrong, especially when it comes to women. But when Jamie asks if he loves Lisa, Phil fobs him off, and refuses to answer.

Doctor Trueman pays a house call at the Cottons. He is worried that Dot is wearing herself out. He would like Nick to go into hospital for a while so that she can rest. He tears a strip off Nick for the way he treats his mother.

Melanie tracks Mark down. She asks if he knows anything about Lisa. He says he had spent the morning looking for her, but when he got home she called. He claims Lisa is in 'a bit of a state' but that she didn't say what it's about.

Barry has been ripped off again by the new mechanic. Roy is furious, he realises that Barry is a liability. He storms over to the Vic, where he and Peggy bond about the trouble that sons can cause.

Jamie rushes back to tell Phil that Lisa has called and is safe. He is shocked when Phil is not pleased, and is more angry about Lisa showing him up. Even Jamie turns against Phil, realising that it really means something when she'd rather call Mark than Phil.

Jim goes over to Dot's place, and cooks dinner. Nick is unpleasant as usual, and while he thinks Dot is sleeping, Jim gives him a piece of his mind. He rubs in how much everyone hates Nick, and how Mark has nothing to fear from him.

Phil follows Garry home, and forces his way into Mark's house, demanding to know where Lisa is. Mark plays it cool. He denies she's there, but tells Phil he's free to look around. Phil is convinced he's telling the truth, and leaves. Mark walks through to the living room. Lisa appears from the shadows, sobbing. She hugs Mark, telling him she's never going back to Phil.
