Summary[]

Terry, Kat and Jamie have some explaining to do following Zoe's party. Dot's benefit night for Nick isn't a success.

The residents of the Square gather together to support Nick Cotton. Jamie apologises to Sonia. Janine arrives downstairs looking shamefaced. Terry isn't feeling much better either. He apologises for his behaviour and so does Janine.

Nick's busy lifting weights when Dot comes in with his breakfast. She warns him to take it easy or he won't be able to go to his benefit party this evening. At the Slaters, Lynne, Mo and Charlie discuss Kat's secret. Little Mo comes in and they change the subject. It's clear she's never been told.

Charlie calls up to see Kat. She's feeling very sheepish about her behaviour. Charlie suggests that maybe it's time to tell Zoe but Kat disagrees, thinking it will tear the family apart. A police friend of Beppe's calls in to go over Beppe's plan. He says that everything is in place to set Jack up and there'll be no turning back if he goes ahead. Beppe tells him he's sure.

Terry has decided it's time to clear out Tiffany's old things. Janine offers to help but he refuses and announces it's time for a fresh start. He wants her to pack her bags and leave. Jamie tracks Sonia down in the café and tries to apologise for what happened. His excuse is that he was drunk and the kiss meant nothing. Sonia's not buying it.

Later that day, Zoe goes to have words with Kat. Immediately Kat apologies for her behaviour and Zoe realises Kat's in a strange mood. Zoe mentions how she wishes she could just talk to her mum, like any normal girl. Janine has packed her bags. She makes one final plea to Terry but he insists it's best for both of them. Janine walks out. She tries to get a cab but there'll be a thirty minute wait.

In the Vic, people are arriving to support Nick and Dot. The compere calls up a very reluctant Winston to have his dreadlocks cut off. Everybody cheers him on, except Nick, who sits there scowling and hurls abuse at Winston. When Sonia arrives, she spots Jamie talking to Zoe. Jim tells her to put a brave face on so she goes to their table to say hello but Zoe is looking much too smug and Sonia just leaves. The smile is wiped off her face when Jamie follows Sonia.

Janine arrives in for a last drink. Peggy's delighted to hear Janine's leaving Walford but Janine won't leave without getting a few digs in first. She starts insulting Peggy until she's told to get out. Dot tries to ignore Nick's remarks but Winston can't. He gives Nick a piece of his mind and storms out. The rest of the bar do their best go keep things going but it's clear that Nick's ungrateful.

Janine is in tears as she goes to get her cab but Terry catches up with her. He tells her not to admit defeat just yet and people do care about her. She's feeling very sorry for herself but Terry's words hit home. Janine stays. Outside, Sonia reminds Jamie of how jealous she is of Zoe. Jamie apologises again, he knows he's messed up. Sonia admits she still likes him and Jamie asks if she's going to change her mind again. She promises not to and they kiss.

Back in the Vic, Peggy announces that Mark is the winner of the raffle. Nick can't contain his contempt but Peggy informs him Mark is worth ten of him. Suddenly Nick launches at Mark and tries to attack him. The rest of the Vic look on in horror.
