Summary[]
Emotions run high in Albert Square as Jamie punches Martin. Lisa returns home and Phil hits her. Peggy smashes up the Vic.
Melanie is in Phil's bed horrified at what she's done. Lisa bangs on the front door. Jamie pulls up on Bridge Street and eyes Number 45. The Cottons turn up at the Fowlers' and Nick's worried to find the Evans' there while Dot handles their presents. Lisa storms into the house as Phil answers the door. She's confused to find Melanie's dress in the kitchen. Phil tells her he borrowed Melanie one of hers. Phil manhandles her into the living room. Lisa rips into Phil about his faults. She tells him that Peggy's on tranquillisers and that he does not care. She continues to dig at him and he warns her to stop. As Lisa carries on, Phil whacks her across the face. She's left shell-shocked but undefeated. In retaliation, Phil throws her out of the house. Jamie builds up his courage, getting angrier and angrier. He bursts into Number 45 and punches Martin in the face, announcing to all the guests that Martin fathered Sonia's baby! Meanwhile, Sonia makes her way to Burghley Avenue - Chloe's new home - and paces up and down the street. She stands outside Chloe's new home and watches the family having a lovely Christmas. She leaves Chloe's present on the bench in the front yard. Melanie threatens to tell Lisa. She discovers that Phil lied about Steve saying he doesn't love her. Phil stops her from leaving. Jamie arrives in the nick of time, creating an escape route for Melanie. Martin denies that he's Chloe's father. Jamie confides in Phil about Sonia and Martin. A smug Janine turns up at the Vic gloating about Frank's new marvellous life to Peggy. Peggy chucks her out. Heartbroken, Peggy begins smashing up the pub. She pushes over the Queen Vic bust and then smashes the rest of the pub up with a baseball bat. Pauline turns up at Number 25 wanting to speak to Sonia. Ian tells Laura that he loves her. Melanie apologises to Lisa and the two girls make amends. Lisa dumps Phil and the two girls make a pact to stick together. Melanie looks guilty. Phil turns up at the Vic and sees the terrible mess Peggy has made. He finds her on the kitchen floor desperately trying to pick up her tranquillisers. |
