Summary[]
Pete breaks with family tradition and plans to spend Christmas Day at the Vic with Den. Pat decides to stay in Albert Square and asks Doctor Legg to rent Ethel's flat.
Irene gives Lofty and Michelle money for a honeymoon. Lou recommends Southend but Pete scoffs at this and Lofty is also against it so Arthur shouts at them and at Kathy and Michelle for seemingly no reason. Pete and Kathy leave and Arthur wonders what he did wrong. Den invites several people to have Christmas dinner with him and Angie, although the Beales and Fowlers are always together at Christmas. Pete accepts after Arthur's outburst. Ethel tells Dot that Charlie has taken money from her purse but Charlie convinces Dot that she did it. Tony tells Kelvin he has too many visits from Carmel. Kelvin realises that Tony is attracted to Carmel. Ian is extremely tired and tells Kathy he has two night jobs to pay for his training. |
