Summary[]
Lisa wakes up on Phil's sofa and is late for work. Sam is upset about what happened between Grant and Beppe. Teresa is trying to juggle work on the stall and in the restaurant.
Sam begs Peggy to tell her the truth about Grant's feud with Beppe. Peggy warns her to stay out of it. Undeterred, Sam confronts Grant. He claims Beppe turned Tiffany against him when she was at her most vulnerable. Grant continues with his twisted version of events. Sam is gobsmacked when Grant reveals Beppe burned the letter from Tiffany that proved his innocence. Sam shuns Beppe in the Square. Grant takes great pleasure in twisting the knife further. Teresa's first day on the market gets off to an unpromising start when she arrives to find her pitch has already been taken. Teresa can't find the guts to tell Rosa she's leaving. A chaotic day of running between both jobs ensues. Sarah is livid when Teresa tricks her into minding the stall at the restaurant's expense. Teresa struggles with her guilt after Rosa cooks a special birthday meal for the pair of them. Melanie yearns for a unique, special wedding day. Ian gets thinking. Natalie despairs as Barry goes overboard with his plans for the wedding. Ian suggests a New Year's Eve wedding to see-in the new millennium. He can't hide his delight when Mel agrees. Barry finds inspiration in his diary. Natalie agrees to his suggestion for the wedding date - New Year's Eve. Steve is delighted when his sister Jackie visits him in prison. She believes every word of his twisted account of the murder. Steve agrees to let Jackie stay in his flat. She vows to fight tooth and nail to clear his name. Matthew receives some unwanted attention from the prison heavies. A passing warden saves Matthew from a brutal attack. The heavies warn Matthew they haven't finished with him yet. Grant is livid when Phil agrees to fix Frank's car ahead of an important meeting. Frank misses his meeting after the car breaks down. He tells Roy he's had enough of the Mitchell brothers' antics. Frank storms into Phil's and accuses him of sabotaging his car. Phil angrily denies it. Grant can't resist provoking Frank further. Both brothers are gobsmacked after Frank promises them that if they want a fight he's up for it - and he'll win. |
