Summary[]

Peggy makes an announcement at Ian and Melanie's engagement party. Barry tries to propose to Natalie but Gianni pushes him in the cake. Carol discovers Dan's torn picture of Bianca.

Dan watches as Ricky and Bianca pack the removal van. He struggles to contain his feelings. Dan pleads with Bianca to stay. He shows her his photo of their time together, trying to change her mind. An angry Bianca rips up the photo. She throws the pieces in the bin and storms out.

Mark confronts Lilly. He warns her never to mention his HIV status to anyone else. Angry at her betrayal, Dot tells Lilly she'll never confide in her again.

Michael returns to Walford looking distant and drawn. He vows to visit Matthew in jail. Matthew refuses to see him. Sarah consoles Michael and encourages him to go to Ian and Mel's engagement party with her. Michael's appalled when he learns that Beppe's re-opened E20. Mel is stunned when Ian presents her with the engagement ring. The party is an equally lavish affair.

Barry's inspired to propose to Natalie but circumstances hamper his progress. Peggy makes an announcement. She unveils the new sign to hang above the Vic door, stating that the landlady is Peggy Butcher. Grant struggles to mask his disgust. The party ends in disarray after Michael confronts Beppe. A huge fight ensues.

Carol clears the house. She finds the ripped-up pieces of the photo. Dan intrudes as Carol messes with the photo fragments. Dan pleads with Carol to stop. Carol playfully continues to piece the photo together. Dan's protestations halt as Carol pops Bianca's face into the jigsaw.
