Roy tells Pat that he has to tell Barry about the affair to clear his conscience. She advises him against it. Sonia continues to give Carol a hard time. She's not accepting Dan's holiday offer. Sonia tells Natalie that she refuses to accept that her mum and Alan have split up. Claudia demands Steve tell the truth about his relationship with Saskia. Steve admits he slept with her once but it was a "stupid mistake". Steve explains that he wanted Melanie and Saskia couldn't handle that. Claudia's not sure what to believe. Claudia tells Steve that the body's been released for burial. Steve offers to help with the funeral arrangements - "we parted in anger, it'd mean a lot to me to make my peace with her". Uniformed police ask questions around the Square about Saskia. Mason interviews Melanie who tells him that Saskia "was obsessed with Steve…she got pregnant by him and had to have an abortion". Mason's suspicions are aroused when Melanie lets slip that Steve broke up with Saskia on Valentine's night. Peggy asks Terry to do a regular spot at the Vic. He's on cloud nine. Irene is pleased to discover that Lilly has inadvertently dyed all of Terry's stage gear peach. Irene can't hide her delight.
