Summary[]

Beppe has an unpleasant surprise for Bianca. Grant struggles with a difficult decision. Terry and Irene return to the Square.


Lovebirds Terry and Irene arrive back in Walford after their honeymoon and plan a surprise party to celebrate. Tony is unimpressed. Simon is bemused when an ebullient Terry invites him to join "the Raymond dynasty" for a family celebration. Tony tells Simon the news. Simon reacts angrily and decides to give the celebration a miss.

Frank and Peggy agree to a new start - living together in the Vic. Elsewhere Grant is on the warpath. He taunts Beppe, telling him "there's nothing worse than a bent copper". Grant returns to the Vic and clashes with Peggy, who begs him to collect Tiffany's ashes. Phil talks sense into Grant and they agree to collect the ashes together.

Saskia piles the pressure on Steve by arranging a night out with Melanie. She corners Jeff in the café to find out more about Melanie and Steve's relationship. Steve confronts Saskia who pretends to break down, winning back his sympathy. Later, Melanie is stood up.

Michael takes a risk when Susan intrudes on him whispering sweet nothings to Lisa. Lisa reacts by trying to cool things down but Michael won't accept it - "I don't think it's just a crush. I've got to make a decision."

Terry and Irene's celebration turns to disaster when Sarah learns they got married without her. None of the other children show up for the party. Sarah tells Irene "it's a disgrace. It's just like you to sneak behind everybody's backs."

Upstairs in the Vic, Grant makes things up with Peggy, confessing "no one likes to admit they were wrong, do they?" Peggy urges Grant to take the night off. Frank intrudes on them, suitcases in tow. Grant erupts with anger, accusing Peggy of wanting him out of the way so she could sneak Frank in. Peggy tells Frank to "leave it a while". Frank can't believe it and storms out.
