Summary[]
Michael and Lisa feel an intimacy growing. Ricky lets the cat out and Grant prods Beppe to rash action. Steve finds himself in the middle with Melanie and Saskia.

Beppe tells Gianni about the letter. Gianni is as shocked as Beppe was. Beppe doesn't know what to do with it yet. Simon is touched when Bianca asks him to be Liam's godfather. Bianca says she can't think of anyone to be godmother now Tiffany's gone. Beppe makes sure Bianca hasn't made the letter common knowledge. They both agree secrecy is the best option. Grant is still being kept on tenterhooks about the case against him. He goes to see Bianca on the pretext of giving her baby clothes but ends up yelling at her, feeling she's deliberately withholding the truth. Ricky goes mad when he walks in on the row - Grant should be thanking her for handing the letter over. Bianca isn't pleased that Ricky has blabbed, but tells Grant that Beppe has the letter which puts Grant in the clear. Grant attacks Beppe but is pulled back by Phil - Grant's in enough trouble. This changes Beppe's mind - he decides what he'll do about the letter. Michael is pleased when Lisa offers to step in for the absent Susan at the Chamber of Commerce Dinner Dance. Matthew and Michael have a blazing row when Matthew accuses Michael of being too hard on Susan. The row escalates after Matthew tells Michael he's a control freak, only happy when Susan's ill. Michael's too upset to go to the dinner dance and confides in Lisa - maybe Matthew's right, maybe he is only with Susan out of pity. It's a waste of both their lives. The atmosphere becomes heated as Michael talks of his fondness for Lisa and the two kiss but Lisa runs out. Melanie gets some advice from a "passing stranger", not realising who Saskia is. Steve is furious to see them together but manages to cover to Melanie saying Saskia did some work for him once. Irene gets under Terry's feet in the shop. Dot tells Lilly and Alex she's going to take a flat a long way from the Square. |
