Summary[]
Frank receives some unwelcome publicity and Steve receives an unwelcome visitor. Grant is adamant that Frank has blood on his hands.
|
It's Matthew's birthday, but instead of the sound system he wanted, Susan and Michael give him his grandfather's old watch. He hides his displeasure. Steve comes into the café to get a coffee. He unwittingly lets slip that Matthew will be working for him - solo. Lenny and Huw are stunned. Pat sees Frank at Deals on Wheels. He tells her the police need to see him about his car, but that Peggy's not going with him. Pat realises he's all on his own and offers to go with him to the station. They return with the car in perfect working order but Frank is very shaken and feeling he's lost the respect of Peggy. Saskia pays a visit to the Market Cellar, which is being decorated. Steve is not pleased to see her but is shocked when she tells him she was pregnant when he left her. She goes on to say she had an abortion and had complications - she may never have children. She doesn't seem to care - then she disappears. Things aren't going well for Matthews and his 18th birthday party celebrations. Huw tells him they've found out what he's done, so Mary is the only one who agrees to meet for a drink. At the Vic, Peggy serves Matthew his first legal pint - telling him life's too short to be falling out with his friends. Louise goes to the Vic to see Courtney. She has an emotional reunion with her which Grant realises he's not welcome in. Grant gives Alex a list of songs he wants to be played at Tiffany's funeral. Later he takes over Tiffany's clothes for Alex to use for charity. Alex manages to persuade him to come in for a talk. He can't understand why these things happen, but Grant's got to try and accept it. It becomes obvious that Grant just wants revenge on Frank. |
