Summary[]

Bianca continues to hide her head in the sand. Irene hears some disturbing news about Tony, Tiffany tries her hand as a peace envoy, and Peggy is forced to confront hometruths.


Bianca tells Carol about her pregnancy and that she's not sure she wants to have a baby at such a young age - after what happened to Carol. Carol reassures her that Ricky is far more stable than her boyfriends and it is different since they are happily married. Bianca says Ricky doesn't want kids and she is afraid he will leave.

Irene is hanging around the Square and Peggy invites her in for tea and they talk about their children. Peggy mentions that Simon is a nice boy and tells Irene that Courtney was obviously Grant's as she doesn't look like Tony at all. Irene is surprised and Peggy explains that Tiffany went out with Tony briefly. Irene uses this as further evidence that Tony can't possibly be gay really.

Sarah tells Joe she can't see him that evening because she is busy with her homework, as term has now started. Peggy goes to see Kathy to ask her if she has heard from Phil. This isn't Kathy's priority at the moment and she tells Peggy what she thinks of Phil. She informs Peggy that he is not only drinking uncontrollably but he was also having an affair. Peggy goes home and has a go at Grant about how men can't keep their women and run off to have affairs all the time! Grant tells her to shut up and that he tried to help Phil. Peggy says he obviously didn't try hard enough. Grant goes mad and says that it's no wonder Phil has run off and won't come back when he has to answer to her criticism, and whatever they do is never good enough for her liking.

Tony happens to meet Robbie in the street and Robbie mentions George is the owner of the gym and is being very good about teaching him boxing. Tiffany's 21st birthday goes smoothly: Grant gives her a beautiful watch and she's very happy with it. Bianca comes into the Vic after telling Tiffany that Ricky doesn't want kids, and Tiffany persuading her that he would love one. Tiffany says she has to change Courtney and asks Ricky to help her. Peggy chats to Bianca, saying that children are nothing but trouble and perhaps changing Courtney will put Ricky off for good, with a bit of luck. Bianca immediately goes to phone for an appointment with the abortion clinic. Meanwhile, Tiffany and Ricky chat about babies, and Ricky seems not too averse to the thought of one, so afterwards Tiffany reports back to Bianca that it'll be fine. Bianca tells her she has already decided.
