Summary[]
Blossom gives Alan some good advice while Carol gets the bride ready for the big day. Pauline reveals a secret to Willy and Mark has an important meeting to attend.

Carol and the kids get ready for the wedding when Alan comes home and tells her that he hasn't changed his mind about attending the wedding and that neither he nor Billie will be going. Robbie gets hurt when he tries to stop Sonia from practicing the trumpet. All of the kids are upset when Alan tells Billie that he will not be going to the wedding. Mark spends the day waiting outside the solicitors office, while Ruth runs the stall. In Jersey, Pauline and Willy have breakfast, unaware that they are being tailed and their photos taken by a private investigator. After Willy has taken care of "business", they go for a walk along the beach. Pauline admits to him that she has lied about visiting Arthur. Bianca is at home getting ready and begs Ricky to go into business with her, he is reluctant but he says he will think about it. Carol, Robbie and Sonia arrive at her parent's house where she receives a frosty reception from her racist father, Jim, and her brother, Derek. Her mother, Renee, and sisters, April and Suzy, are glad to see her. Carol breaks the news to April that Alan and Billie won't be coming, but looks to Jim and Derek when she adds that he probably won't be missed anyway. In the café, Alan tells Blossom that Carol doesn't love him, but Blossom insists that he is wrong. She urges him to go to the church and stand up to Carol's prejudice family and fix their relationship. Carol confides in April that she fears Alan is going to leave her. When they arrive at the church, April is frantic with worry when she finds out that Nikos, the groom, has not turned up. The mood lightens when Alan and Blossom turn up. despite the constant racist remarks from Derek and Jim. However, the best man, Stan, arrives and breaks the news that Nikos has gone back to Cyprus. After talking to the vicar, Alan asks Carol again to marry him! |
