Summary[]
Tiffany tries to keep Tony out of trouble, while Kathy has a request for Pat. Mark gets a shock when he visits Pauline.

When Robbie becomes fed up of Carol and Alan's bickering and Billie draws a picture of Carol shouting, Alan asks her to meet him in the Vic later so they can talk through their problems without distraction. Still searching for a new house, Ian tells Cindy to go and look at some of the houses but he will not be able to go with her. She goes to see David and takes him along with her to look at the houses. Cindy convinces the estate agent to leave the keys with them and they head upstairs. Tiffany calls Tony but Sarah answers and insists that she has not seen him. The two men that were looking for him turn up but Sarah won't let them in, they soon go away when Ted arrives. Tony turns up at the Vic and apologises to Tiffany. When she tells him about the men that were looking for him, he asks if she can help him lie low for a while. She lets him hide upstairs in the Vic. The men turn up again and Peggy, thinking on her feet, tell them that he has gone to Brighton for the weekend. When they leave, she tells Tiffany that she wants him out of the Vic by the end of the afternoon. Waiting until it is dark, Tony makes his way home but he is caught by the men and they beat him up. Gita rebuffs Bianca's ideas about boosting custom but she shows interest in the idea of a charity fashion show. Bianca spends the day meeting suppliers and arranging the show. Gita and Bianca settle on a 70/30 deal. Kathy is wary that she may be becoming paranoid in regards to Ben, but Pat tells her to call Dr. Legg when she tells that he has a slight temperature and he cries frequently. Thankful for her help, Kathy asks Pat if she would be Ben's godmother. Phil asks Kathy not to tell anyone, as Peggy won't be pleased that she asked Pat first. Upset that Bianca turned him down, Ricky vents to Pat that they hardly spend time together and she seems to enjoy being at work more. Pat tells him that he needs to support her. Garry bids farewell to the traders on the market, he is moving to a bigger market in Essex as the Bridge Street Market is due to close. Understandably, the stallholders are furious when Michael turns up in the Vic. He explains to them that Garry and the others are leaving, but they have no future as the Essex market is due to be demolished next year. The Bridge Street Market will remain open. Alan explains to Carol that he proposed to her so they could be a proper family, but Carol tells him that they have a stronger foundation than most marriages. Mark turns up at Pauline's and agrees to look after Martin while she goes on holiday. But he changes his tune when he realises that she is going with Willy. |
