Summary[]
Pauline tells the truth about the prison visits, Tiffany's cross with Tony for cancelling their date, Bianca makes peace with Carol, but when Ricky proposes she turns him down.

Up early with Ben, Phil insists that she should get out of the house. She agrees to go for a drink with him at the Vic that night and asks Pat to babysit. When Peggy finds out she is upset. Rather than enjoying their night, Kathy grows anxious and they leave. When she takes Ben from him, Phil is visibly worried about her. Mark stands his ground and tells Sanjay that he is up for a fight with Garry, but he knew that Garry won't do anything with Michael around. Sanjay tells Mark that he is worried about debts and he thinks that it might help if he talk to Meena, considering that Guppy has disappeared. Michael apologises to Carol when she explains that him talking to Alan had caused nothing but arguments between them. Robbie confronts Tony in the cafe, he swears that he will not do him any more favours and that the man he delivered to seemed to be serious. In the laundrette, Pauline gets a call from Willy and then she dashes out in a hurry. She meets with Ruth and tells her that Willy has booked the holiday. She later confesses to Mark that she has not seen Arthur since before Christmas and they patch things up. A debt collector turns up on the market looking for Sanjay, he finds Gita and tells her that they must pay £800 for this month. She says that they will sort something out, he tells her that she has until tomorrow afternoon. He also asks of Guppy's whereabouts. When Sanjay returns, Gita tells him to face the facts that Guppy conned them and he isn't coming back, she tells him they need to focus on gathering the £3000. Tiffany prepares for her date with Tony and spends £40 on a dress, but Sarah comes to the Vic and tells her that Tony won't be able to make it. Tiffany takes a break and tries to return the dress, but Gita refuses. Later that day, two men turns up in the Vic looking for Tony. Bianca goes to the launderette where she and Carol talk through their problems. She insists that she loves Ricky and she is moving in because it's what she wants. Carol confides in Bianca that the idea of marriage frightens her, hence why she declined but Bianca insists that he loves her. Two boys run through the market and soak the clothes on Gita & Sanjay's stall with purple paint. Sanjay is furious and insists that Michael that Garry is behind it. Michael holds a meeting in the cafe and insists that they need concrete proof that Garry is guilty. Having received a letter to notify him that is officially divorced from Sam, Ricky plans a romantic night in with Bianca. He burns the dinner and calls on Alan to prepare something nice for them. After dinner, Ricky asks Bianca to marry him. She insists that she loves him but she declines his proposal. |
