Steve comes under financial pressure from an unexpected quarter, while Nigel and Robbie have bunny trouble.

Kathy asks Steve how it's going, etc and he says brilliantly, and she realises that her flat fee is stupid and asks Steve for a percentage. Steve rushes off very busily! She mentions it to Phil who says quietly that maybe Steve will think about it, then he has a "little chat" with Steve at the Vic later.

Phil has to lay someone off so Alan is sacked, he goes home and doesn't tell Carol immediately, saying he'll make some tea and they can sit down...Blossom went to the arches to see him and found out, so before he gets the chance, she mentions it, and Carol and Alan have another huge row, her saying that he was trying to conceal it.. etc. He is Very depressed, and sits down saying to Blossom that he doesn't know why he's still here, he loved it at age 20 when he met Carol and had a ready made family, then Billy came along, and it was great, but he doesn't know where he stands now. If it weren't for Billy he could just get up and walk out. Blossom looks worried and tells him to pull himself together and Carol is nasty to him because she's afraid that he will walk out just like the rest of the men, etc. He doesn't look convinced.
