Michelle is upset when Arthur informs her that she will be looking after Martin whilst he, Nellie and Pauline are away. She complains to Mark, who offers to look after Martin and Vicki with Ruth instead. Mark informs Nigel and Steve of Sanjay's intentions to fight the racists. Nigel does not want to be a part of the violence. Carol offers to take Gita in for the evening at Number 25 while Sanjay waits outside her flat for the racists to reveal themselves. Peggy shows up for a tea party with Grant and Sharon at the Vic. Sharon is forced to pretend that she and Grant are still happily together. Alan recalls a time he experienced a racist incident and decides to involve himself in Sanjay's plans to fight. Bianca tells Ricky about Natalie's new man. Ricky wants to get involved with the fight against the racists but is reminded by Bianca and Pat that he cannot because of his probation. He goes over and informs Alan, Mark and Steve of his absence from the fight which winds Steve up, resulting in a fight between him and Ricky which is broken up. Gita is nervous as she waits out of harm's way for Sanjay to complete his mission. Natalie heads to Bianca's bedsit to give her all the gossip from her date. The racists fail to show up for the fight, infuriating Sanjay. Gita checks in on Sanjay and is taken aback to learn that the only reason he planned to fight them was so that he would end up in hospital and she would take him back. She advises that he goes home, to which he responds by insisting he no longer has one thanks to her. |
