Summary[]
Phil begs for forgiveness whilst Grant struggles to accept it.
|
Phil comes round as Grant sleeps next to his bed. Grant awakens and questions Phil over his love for Sharon. He brands Sharon a slut for her behaviour as Phil insists he would do anything to change what happened. Phil admits he loved Sharon once but does not anymore. Grant asks Phil if Sharon considered leaving him and insists he is lying when Phil claims she did not. Grant continues to push for answers over Phil and Sharon's affair. Phil eventually nods off. Grant refuses to leave his bedside. Sharon walks aimlessly around the Vic's upstairs flat. Phil tells Grant that he will do whatever he can to put things right for him. Grant claims he needed Phil but he took everything away from him when he was unfaithful with Sharon. Emotions boil as Grant turns the tables and asks Phil to imaging him having sex with Kathy behind his back. Phil grows adamant that he wanted to tell Grant about Sharon but could not, so turned to Kathy instead. Grant recalls how he and Phil shared everything as children. He feels there is nothing left for him on the Square anymore and wants to go. He cracks as he admits he still loves Sharon, but then turns against her and begs Phil to repeat after him that everything that happened was because Sharon led him on. Phil repeats the words and Grant feels consoled. He admits he feared he would not have a brother anymore and it hurt him. Phil promises Grant that he will never leave his side. Grant forces Phil to utter that it just them two from now on. |
