Summary[]
Debbie dresses up for her interview at the bookies. Nigel thinks she is under-dressed, but she does not care about his opinion. Ian is shocked to hear of Kathy's engagement. Meanwhile, Phil tries hunting down Nadia so that he can divorce her, but she is nowhere to be found.

Pauline encourages Michelle to apply for the same job Debbie has - she does and bags an interview. Natalie arranges to babysit for Debbie and Nigel in the evening. She encourages Bianca to bring Ricky to the pair's flat so that they can have sex. Ian visits the bank for money but is asked to meet Tina Whiteside, the bank's new manager. She expresses concerns for Ian's business repayments. Arthur repapers the walls in the backroom with Martin. Mr Papadopoulos gives Pauline and Carol their jobs back at the launderette, and Pauline negotiates a 75p per hour pay rise. Michelle has her interview for the job at the bookies. Stan, the interviewer, is impressed by Michelle, but ends up giving the job to Debbie, leaving Michelle disheartened. Phil has a meeting with Marku over Nadia. He informs Phil that Nadia is is in hiding as she is now living as an illegal immigrant. He dashes all hopes of a reunion by adding that he is not sure she will ever be found again. Marku then leaves and Phil spots him returning to a hotel as he drives back. Pauline gets Mark and Michelle to spread the word of Arthur's surprise birthday party. Bianca and Ricky head to Debbie and Nigel's flat. Natalie agrees to wait outside the living room whilst they have sex, but Ricky is too uncomfortable to do anything and runs away. |
