Summary[]
Binnie is offered a job at the Vic, but Della is not sure she should work there. Ricky is excited for his date with Bianca in the evening. Ian does not want Gita looking after Steven anymore.

Della reluctantly agrees to let Binnie trial work at the Vic. Carol buys Alan a posh, expensive jumper and a telephone for the house. He grows concerned at how much she has spent in such a short period of time, and she admits to him that she has seven store cards, leading him to ask her to take some of the things she has bought on the store cards back to save them from complete financial turmoil. Nigel moves his "stolen" goods to the allotments to collect later in the day, but when he returns to get them, they are not there. A police officer later informs him that Arthur found the goods. Steve is uneasy working with Binnie behind the bar. Lesley thinks Arthur is slacking around the market, and encourages him to pick up the pace. Della heads to her mother's flat to collect some belongings. Her mother walks in on her as she packs and tries to dissuade her from moving out altogether, but is unsuccessful. David keeps Ricky behind at the Arches, begging him to fix a car up that a customer wants to collect in the morning. As a result of Ricky's overtime, he misses his date with Bianca. Della confides in Binnie about her mother, admitting she wants to tell her about them but cannot. |
