Edie Harding was the mother of Emma Harding, and the grandmother of Lola Pearce-Brown.
Backstory[]
Edie use to give Emma Harding a spoonful of Cod-liver Oil every morning. Emma said it use to make her wretch and she can't go near a tin of sardine now. Emma initially tells Lola that Edie was glamorous, had long legs, sung in a band and all the men loved her. Emma said she would sit on a stool in a bar drinking cola watch her singing her heart out. Emma wanted to be just like her when she grew up. Emma then mentions Edie died in a care home during Lockdown (Covid-19 Pandemic). Emma then tells Lola the truth that Edie was an alcoholic, she forget to feed, clothe, slap Emma's legs, pinch any bit of flesh she could grab onto, call her fatty. Tell Emma it was her fault she was stuck in some dive instead of high-kicking on the West End. Emma mentions it wasn't Edie fault that she'd never been loved, men fawned all over her but they didn't lover her. Emma didn't want to turned out like her so she left when she was sixteen. When Edie was put in a Care Home, Emma was contacted to say Edie was asking for her "her beloved daughter". Emma never visited her, Edie died shortly after.
