Eddie Tsang is the late husband of Colin Russell. He made his first appearance on 29 August 2016 and last on 30 August 2016. He was portrayed by Kevin Shen.
Storylines[]
Eddie is a man who Dot Branning witnesses trying to get into the launderette where she works. He later visits her at her home and gives her a letter. A week later, Dot's old friend Colin Russell - who she has not seen for twenty seven years - returns to Albert Square and reveals he is getting married to Eddie and that he wants Dot to be at the ceremony. However, Dot objects, stating marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman. Colin explains that he wants Dot to be there because she was the first person to accept his sexuality all those years ago. Dot agrees and later tells Colin the ceremony was beautiful. The wedding took place off-screen, and Eddie was not seen after his initial appearance. Eddie later died of cancer, leaving Colin a widower.
