Debbie Arnold (born 14th June 1955 in Sunderland) appeared as April Branning in EastEnders from December 1995 to October 1996.

Her first job was impersonating Marilyn Monroe on Who Do You Do, at the age of eighteen. Afterwards, she found a passion for acting. In 1990 she appeared in the ITV soap Emmerdale as Debbie Wilson. After a few minor roles in TV programmes such as All Creatures Great and Small and Virtual Murder as well as performing the voice of various characters in the video game Flight of the Amazon Queen, she then landed the role of April. After EastEnders, she then went on to appear in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks as Janice Bolton.

She has played two roles in Coronation Street, firstly as Sylvie Hicks from 1981 to 1982 and secondly as Carole Evans in 2012. She has also had roles in Birds of a Feather, Footballers Wive$: Overtime, Holby City and Jonathan Creek.
