Brooke Kinsella (born 17th July 1983) is an English actress who portrayed Kelly Taylor in EastEnders from December 2001 to June 2004.
A graduate of the Anna Scher Theatre School (like many of present and former EastEnders actors), Kinsella has been acting ever since her childhood. Her most notable role may be in EastEnders, but has had a very successful career otherwise.
Before she landed the role of Kelly Taylor, Kinsella auditioned for roles such as Zoe Slater and Janine Butcher. She had a small stint in 2001, before joining full time in 2002. A kiss between Kelly and Zoe prompted mass media scrutiny, and Louise Berridge subsequently axed her character. Kinsella returned to EastEnders in the writing department in 2018, aiding the writers with a stabbing storyline, involving Shakil Kazemi and Keegan Baker.
Kinsella and her family fell further under the public eye in 2008 when tragically, her half-brother Ben was stabbed to death. She campaigned tirelessly to try and end knife crime.
