Ann Mitchell was born on 22nd April 1939 in London, England. She is an English actress who appeared in two roles in EastEnders firstly as Jane Williams from November 2001 to January 2002 and secondly one of her most famous roles as Cora Cross between April 2011 and November 2018.
She is on the Board of Directors of the Equity Trust Fund, The Unity Theatre Trust, and is a Patron of Clean Break, a theatre and training company for ex-female offenders, and of The Landmark, an HIV and AIDS trust.
In 2003, she was nominated for a London Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Actress for her performance in Through the Leaves performed at the Duchess Theatre and in 2004 she was nominated for a Laurence Oliver Theatre Award for Best Actress in the same role and theatre play.
She is best known for her roles in The Deep Blue Sea, Widows and Lady Chatterley's Lover.
She has been married twice, firstly to William Chiles in which she bore one son, Sean Chiles and secondly to Robert Walker and bore another child, Che Walker.
