Amerjit Deu was born on 3rd September 1960 in Punjab, India. He is an Indian actor, who portrayed Jaggat Singh in EastEnders from 1986 to 1987. He also portrayed another doctor, Rupesh Dhiri for one episode in 2015.

Amerjit has also had roles in fellow soaps Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, Amerjit has also been in television programmes Casualty, The Bill, Doctors and Silent Witness. Amerjit has also been in movies I misteri della giungla nera, Bollywood Queen and I Came By.
