Amanda Bright (born in London) is a British actress, writer, and producer who portrayed PI Blake from October to November 2025 in EastEnders.
Based in London, Amanda Bright graduated from the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Since then, she has built a rich and varied career, performing in productions ranging from Shakespeare's Globe to major streaming platforms like Netflix. Her acting credits include roles in In from the Cold (2022), Prime Suspect 7: The Final Act (2006), The Key (2020), Dear Afro (2019), and appearances in popular British series such as Doctors, Coronation Street, and EastEnders.
Beyond acting, Amanda is a passionate storyteller and creative force behind the camera. She is a graduate of the Soho Theatre Young Writers Programme and the Royal Court's Critical Mass writers programme. She is the founder of TeamSASS Productions, through which she has written and produced several independent short films.
Her debut narrative short, The Lennox Report, received critical acclaim and was selected for 24 national and international film festivals.
