Summary[]
Michelle returns to Number 55 after dropping Clyde off at the allotments. Nick goes to the café to phone the police but is stopped in his tracks by Dot, who is now watching his every move. Frank is annoyed with Pat and heads to Number 55 to get drunk with Arthur.

Nick heads to The Vic and tells Dot what he has seen. He feels it is his duty to phone the police and tell them, but Dot is worried about the wrath of Michelle's family and warns him off. Michelle quickly stops in the Vic looking for Rachel; she tells Frank that Arthur is sleeping on her sofa tonight. Phil refuses to let Nick use the Vic's phone as it is closing time. Michelle returns to Number 55 after dropping Clyde off at the allotments. Nick goes to the café to phone the police but is stopped in his tracks by Dot, who is now watching his every move. She warns him not to phone the police or she will get Pete to sort him out. She suggests they inform Pauline about Michelle and Clyde in the morning. Frank is annoyed with Pat and heads to Number 55 to get drunk with Arthur; they commiserate about the state of their marriages. Michelle sits in the kitchen pondering what to do next. Rachel returns and Michelle tells her Clyde has gone. Rachel notices Michelle is upset and assumes Clyde has left the country; she tells her she will move on from him in time. Michelle hugs Arthur good night and says goodbye. Pauline stays up all night waiting for Arthur to return home. The next morning, Nick tries to sneak out of Number 25 to phone the police but is once again stopped by Dot. He secretly watches Michelle's actions in the Square. Michelle takes Kofi and Vicki to the allotments to see Clyde. She gets the car keys from Clyde and returns to the Square alone to steal Arthur's car but stalls it and is unable to restart it. She sneaks into Number 45 to get Mark to drive the car to the allotments but wakes Pauline up. Pauline learns Arthur is staying at Number 55 and rushes over to scold him, waking both Frank and Arthur from their drunken stupor. Nick heads to the launderette to call the police, but Dot follows him there and stops him. A hungover Frank goes to the launderette to phone Pat before he returns to the B&B to make sure she is not too angry. He finds Nick and Dot there. Dot tells Frank that Michelle is an accomplice in Clyde's escape, and he must still be in the Square. Frank is in disbelief. Mark obliviously helps Michelle drive the car over to the allotments then returns home. Clyde's shoulder injury prevents him from driving. Clyde and Michelle argue about what to do next. Michelle suggests she moves the gear stick as he directs while he steers the car, but Clyde is not convinced. Dot heads to Number 45 to tell Arthur and Pauline about Michelle and Clyde. Nick follows. Mark and Pete learn what is going on from them. Mark reveals he drove the car to the allotments for her. Pete rushes over to Number 55 to inform Arthur and Pauline. Rachel sheepishly reveals she knew all along; Pauline is furious with her. Pete, Arthur and Pauline rush back to Number 45 to confront Nick. Nick calls the police while Mark is distracted talking to Dot. He gloatingly informs them he grassed Clyde and Michelle's whereabouts to the police. Mark punches a stunned Nick. Police cars race to the allotments, followed by Arthur, Frank, Pauline and Pete in Arthur's van. They watch on helplessly as the police search the allotments for Clyde and Michelle. |
