Summary[]
Ian and Pauline struggle to find Rebecca's grandmother's address and even Jane tells then it's wrong. Pauline thinks Sonia might have it and searches through her belongings but is nearly caught by Sonia. Jim takes Dot on a practise drive run around the Square. Keith arranges to meet Darren's teacher but he keeps it a secret from Rosie.

Ian is on a mission to track down a contact address for Rebecca's grandmother - much to Pauline's delight. It's Dot's first driving lesson and Jim decides to have the lesson in the sitting room. Annoyed with Jim's methods, Dot heads out to the car and jolts it down the road, much to everyone's amusements. Keith meets up with Darren's teacher to discover that his son has reading/writing problems as well. Ian and Pauline discover that Sonia has kept the funeral service of Rebecca's adoptive parents with an address for Rebecca's grandmother. Now with the address, Pauline insists on going to the house. Ian thinks that she could cause trouble and offers to go there first. The car breaks down and Dot is furious when she finds out the car ran out of fuel. She sacks Jim as her instructor and storms off inside. Jim, Patrick and Derek revel in pulling off their scam. However, his happiness is short lived when Dot announces that she has chosen a new instructor. Although Jane disapproves, she agrees to go with Ian to visit Pauline's granddaughter. Margaret is won round by Jane empathising with the loss of her daughter and son-in-law and agrees for Pauline to contact her. |
