Summary[]
The police release Jack and Max begins to wonder if he has got himself in too deep. Darren takes his driving test and also has bad news for Libby. Ricky takes the kids trick-or-treating, with disastrous consequences.
The police want to know why Max would try to frame Jack. He explains about Tanya and mentions that he knows that Max had a gun because he told him to hand it in to the police. Clearly, he didn't. Darren can't find the words to finish things with Libby. He feels awful when she gives him a good luck gift for his driving test. Lucas mentions to Denise that they make a lovely couple and notes her guilty reaction. DI Turner arrives at Max's to find Tanya on his doorstep, accusing him of being a liar. Max is shaken to hear that gunshot residue was found on him, but not Jack. Max claims that it must be down to the struggle they had. Chelsea and Denise find a letter that Libby's written, withdrawing her application to Oxford. Denise blames Darren and Libby storms out. She meets Darren, who's passed his test. He blurts out that they're over. There's no evidence linking Jack to the gunshot, so the police let him go. Tanya's relieved - the move to France is still on. In the Square, Morgan plays with Max's gun. DI Turner quickly takes it off him. There's a Halloween party in the Vic. Stacey's upset with Callum for ignoring her after their tryst in the allotments. She approaches a masked man thinking it's Callum. She bares her soul, unaware that she's talking to Bradley! Libby's inconsolable and seeks refuge in the playground. Lucas finds her and reveals Denise's plot. She flings herself in front of Darren's car and he admits that he does still love her. They plan to run away together. Jack receives a mystery call and heads out to a dark alleyway. DI Turner appears. He's knows about Jack's past in the force and recognises a kindred spirit. He hands him Max's gun and asks him to dispose of it. |
