Summary[]

Desperate for money, Rosie asks Chrissie for an advance on her wages, despite the fact that she's only just been paid. Worried about their situation, she tells Keith that they are both going to have to find some more work and that he can't spend any more money without her permission. In an attempt to prevent Sam and Zoe from getting closer, Chrissie books Zoe a one-way ticket to Spain. Chrissie persuades her to go and arranges for her to leave straight away. However, when Sam finds out, she rushes off to try to stop her running away. Sam convinces her that running away isn't the answer.

Sam brandishes Peggy's licensee sign. She orders Chrissie to sign over the Vic. She threatens to get Zoe on side and frame Chrissie for murder. Chrissie's not sure if she's bluffing.

Rosie secures an advance from Chrissie. Keith isn't anxious about their debt. He thinks Rosie's being negative. He notices that Genghis is ill. Rosie won't involve a vet due to the cost.

Jane plans a girly night in with Lucy. Lucy invites Stacey to join them. In the café, Stacey moons over Mickey. She overhears him planning a big night out with Tariq, Martin and Juley.

Jake and Danny niggle each other. Jake wants a brother transplant. Danny urges Jake to explain why he's so wound up. Jake's annoyed and warns Danny that one day he'll walk out on him for good.

Rosie grovels for work. Ian refuses harshly. As she scrounges, Keith nicks her cash and takes Genghis to the vet.

Meanwhile, Chrissie rushes to comfort a distraught Zoe. She prevents Sam getting there first.

Johnny finds Jake boozing alone and wonders what's up. He's worried that Jake's blabbed to Danny. Jake insists that he hasn't. He promises to sort out Danny for being rude to Johnny.

Zoe can't forget Den's death. It's tearing her apart. Chrissie suggests that she gets away. She's booked Zoe a flight to Spain for that day. Zoe accepts her offer of a fresh start.

Stacey insults Jane, saying that she couldn't bear to hang out with Lucy and her later. Stacey wants to tag along on Mickey's night out. He humiliates her by saying that she's too young.

Jake offers to fix Chrissie's dripping tap. She accuses him of flirting. He ends up soaked when he fiddles with her plumbing. She's rattled when he raids Den's wardrobe for a dry shirt.

Pauline lays into Sonia for allowing Martin to party with the lads that night. She feels that they should be saving money. Sonia won't rein him in. She's infuriated by Pauline's attitude.

Sam's alarmed to learn of Chrissie's gift to Zoe. She races over to the Slaters' to speak to Zoe before she leaves.

Lucy's disappointed that Stacey's cancelled. Jane doesn't reveal Stacey's reason.

Rosie's livid that Keith's spent her cash. She's been begging for work while he's done nothing. She beats him, screaming that he must get a job. He's shocked by her tears of exasperation.

Stacey makes out to Lucy that Jane was nasty to her. Martin lets slip that Stacey asked to join the lads' party. Lucy's gutted that Stacey lied to her about the evening. Caught out, Stacey apologises to her.

Sam works on Zoe. She argues that fleeing to Spain won't help. She convinces Zoe to join her in the Vic. They'll get over it together and face people. Chrissie's horrified to see Zoe with Sam.

Jake scolds Danny for dissing Johnny. Danny refuses to bow down to Johnny. Enraged, he vows to do things his way from now on.

Sam proves that she's won round Zoe. She slaps Chrissie for manipulating Zoe. She gives Chrissie 24 hours to sign over the Vic, or she'll make Zoe squeal to the police.
